Ella nos explic\u00f3, con un ejemplo muy claro, qu\u00e9 es la diabetes y c\u00f3mo se desarrolla. \r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\r\n\r\n\u201cImagina que tus venas son grandes avenidas por donde transita la sangre llevando consigo ox\u00edgeno, alimentos, productos de desecho y la glucosa, tambi\u00e9n conocida como az\u00facar en la sangre, cuyo peso de carga y cantidad de veces de tr\u00e1nsito en la sangre no debe superar el indicado.\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\r\n\r\nCuando ese tr\u00e1nsito de cantidad de veces y peso supera el que puede soportar la insulina, hormona que produce el p\u00e1ncreas y directa responsable de abrir y cerrar la puerta de la c\u00e9lula para que entre la energ\u00eda del az\u00facar a ella, es cuando se comienza a padecer esta enfermedad cr\u00f3nica llamada diabetes.\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\r\n\r\nQuiere decir que cuando una persona tiene diabetes, es porque su cuerpo no produce suficiente insulina o la que produce no se puede usar de forma adecuada\u201d\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\r\n\r\nAs\u00ed, mediante este ejemplo, queremos darte un abre bocas para que empieces a crear conciencia de la importancia de tener h\u00e1bitos saludables en tu vida para prevenir la diabetes.\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n<h2>\u00bfQu\u00e9 dicen las estad\u00edsticas en Colombia y el mundo sobre la diabetes?<\/h2>\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\r\n\r\nSeg\u00fan datos del Fondo Colombiano de Enfermedades de Alto Costo (CAC), m\u00e1s de un mill\u00f3n seiscientos mil colombianos tienen diabetes. Valle del Cauca, Antioquia, Risaralda, Bogot\u00e1 D.C., Bol\u00edvar, Huila y Quind\u00edo, son los departamentos con mayores casos de diabetes. Y, en todo el mundo, el n\u00famero de adultos con diabetes cuadruplic\u00f3 las cifras, pasando de 108 a 422 millones de casos.\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n<h2>7 h\u00e1bitos de una vida saludable que previenen la diabetes<\/h2>\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\r\n\r\nEducarnos en c\u00f3mo llevar una vida saludable para prevenir la diabetes s\u00ed es posible. Por eso, te presentamos a continuaci\u00f3n 7 h\u00e1bitos que te ayudar\u00e1n a prevenir esta enfermedad:\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n<ol>\r\n\r\n<strong><li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Monitorea que los niveles gluc\u00e9micos sean los adecuados.<\/strong>\r\n<\/li>\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\r\n\r\nEsto lo lograr\u00e1s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.seguralia.com\/blog\/7-alimentos-que-debes-evitar-si-tienes-diabetes-o-quieres-prevenirla\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">evitando consumir alimentos azucarados<\/a> y carbohidratos refinados como bebidas azucaradas, bebidas energizantes, postres y pan. \r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\r\n\r\nRecuerda que somos lo que comemos. Sin embargo, ten en cuenta estos otros nombres bajo los que se esconde el az\u00facar, as\u00ed sabr\u00e1s que es mejor restringirlos de tu dieta y si te quieres dar un gustico, que no sea todos los d\u00edas:\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\r\n\r\n<p>&#8226; Sacarosa<\/p>\r\n<p>&#8226; Fructosa<\/p>\r\n<p>&#8226; Galactosa<\/p>\r\n<p>&#8226; Glucosa<\/p>\r\n<p>&#8226; Dextrosa<\/p>\r\n<p>&#8226; Sirope<\/p>\r\n<p>&#8226; Concentrado de jugo de frutas<\/p>\r\n<p>&#8226; Dextrano<\/p>\r\n<p>&#8226; Jarabes<\/p>\r\n<p>&#8226; N\u00e9ctar<\/p>\r\n<p>&#8226; Melaza<\/p>\r\n<p>&#8226; Jugo de ca\u00f1a<\/p>\r\n<p>&#8226; Panela<\/p>\r\n<p>&#8226; Miel<\/p>\r\n<p>&#8226; Refinados<\/p>\r\n<p>&#8226; Caramelo<\/p>\r\n<p>&#8226; Alm\u00edbar<\/p>\r\n<p>&#8226; Cebada de malta<\/p>\r\n\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Minimiza el consumo de productos procesados y enf\u00f3cate en los alimentos enteros.<\/strong><\/li>\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\r\n\r\nLos alimentos procesados, son aquellos a los que se les modifica su estado original con algunos tipos de procesamiento para que, por ejemplo, duren m\u00e1s tiempo empacados o se puedan transportar de un lugar a otro.\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\t\r\nAlgunos de estos alimentos son:\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\r\n<p>&#8226; Fr\u00edjoles enlatados<\/p>\r\n<p>&#8226; Leche de vaca o de soya<\/p>\r\n<p>&#8226; Sopas instant\u00e1neas<\/p>\r\n<p>&#8226; Gaseosas<\/p>\r\n<p>&#8226; Papas fritas<\/p>\r\n<p>&#8226; Embutidos<\/p>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Hidr\u00e1tate.<\/strong><\/li>\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\r\nEl agua es la bebida m\u00e1s natural que se puede consumir y la que te ayudar\u00e1 a eliminar desechos a trav\u00e9s de la orina, la transpiraci\u00f3n o las deposiciones. Lubricar\u00e1 y amortiguar\u00e1 tus articulaciones, proteger\u00e1 tus tejidos, y el nivel de energ\u00eda aumentar\u00e1 cuando el cuerpo est\u00e9 bien hidratado. De ah\u00ed la importancia de que el agua se convierta en tu bebida preferida.\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Dejar de fumar.<\/strong><\/li>\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\r\nComo ya sabemos la insulina es la que nos ayuda a controlar el paso de az\u00facar a las c\u00e9lulas y la nicotina altera la informaci\u00f3n de las c\u00e9lulas haciendo que estas no respondan a la insulina y por ende se van da\u00f1ando las c\u00e9lulas del organismo.\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\r\n&#8220;Fumar es malo para todos, pero incluso m\u00e1s para las personas con diabetes&#8221;, as\u00ed lo dijo el Dr. Joel Zonszein, director del Centro Cl\u00ednico de Diabetes, del Centro M\u00e9dico Montefiore, de Nueva York; esto con respecto adelantada con m\u00e1s de 53.000 personas fumadoras.\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Alim\u00e9ntate con variedad de alimentos.<\/strong><\/li>\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\r\n\u201cUn plato de comida ideal debe tener mucho color y sabor dando la prioridad a la comida original. As\u00ed, tu plato debe tener m\u00ednimo tres colores, verde, rojo y blanco.\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\r\nCome variedad de alimentos, de todos los grupos de alimentos, por ejemplo:\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\r\n<p>&#8226; Frutas y vegetales, que son los originales<\/p>\r\n<p>&#8226; Granos integrales<\/p>\r\n<p>&#8226; Carne, pollo, pescado, huevo, tofu<\/p>\r\n<p>&#8226; L\u00e1cteos descremados<\/p>\r\n<p>&#8226; Yogurt<\/p>\r\n<p>&#8226; Queso<\/p>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Practica ejercicio a diario.<\/strong><\/li>\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.seguralia.com\/blog\/como-abandonar-el-sedentarismo-y-adoptar-nuevos-habitos-saludables\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Practicar ejercicio a diario<\/a> mejora los niveles de colesterol, presi\u00f3n arterial, controla el peso corporal y mejora la resistencia a la insulina, ya que aumenta la utilizaci\u00f3n de la glucosa por el m\u00fasculo. \r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Duerme entre 6 y 10 horas.<\/strong><\/li>\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\r\nDuerme entre 6 y 10 horas para que garantices la calidad del sue\u00f1o.\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.seguralia.com\/blog\/la-calidad-del-sueno-y-su-relacion-con-la-salud-mental\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dormir el tiempo recomendado ayuda<\/a> a que el p\u00e1ncreas regule bien los niveles de insulina, ya que mientras dormimos el cerebro hace poco uso de la glucosa\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n<h3>Un test r\u00e1pido para saber si eres pre diab\u00e9tico o diab\u00e9tico<\/h3>\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\r\n\u00bfQuieres consultar si eres pre diab\u00e9tico? en este <a href=\"https:\/\/diabetes.org\/risk-test\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">link<\/a> puedes saberlo, solo te tomar\u00e1 un minuto.\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\r\nRecordemos que, si la tendencia de esta enfermedad contin\u00faa, 700 millones de adultos, en todo el mundo, padecer\u00e1n diabetes para el a\u00f1o 2045.
